Greenfield Architects Designs New Tempo by Hilton in Bethlehem
We are thrilled to announce that Greenfield Architects has been selected by High Hotels, Ltd. to design their "Tempo by Hilton" hotel in Bethlehem, PA. This project marks an exciting opportunity for us to collaborate with High Hotels, Ltd. and contribute to the growth of the hospitality industry in Bethlehem.
Project Overview
The "Tempo by Hilton" hotel, located at 14-36 W. Third St., will offer 141 guest rooms, a ground-level lobby, restaurant and bar, meeting rooms, and other amenities. The seventh floor will feature an expanded fitness center, while the top floor will boast an upscale rooftop bar and restaurant. The dining venue will overlook the greenway with an outdoor seating area fronting 3rd Street.
Exterior and Interior Design
Our exterior design aims to blend seamlessly with Bethlehem's historic charm, while providing a modern and inviting aesthetic. The interior design, provided by The Johnson Studio, will reflect Bethlehem’s rich history through artwork, storytelling, music, and architectural preservation. Historic materials, warm colors, and intriguing art invite curiosity, exploration, and conversation.
History of the Tempo Brand
The Tempo by Hilton brand was introduced in 2022, with six locations open elsewhere in the country and around 60 others signed up right now. Other locations include Times Square, Manhattan, New York City; Nashville, Tennessee; Louisville, Kentucky; Raleigh, North Carolina; Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and San Diego, California.
The Tempo concept caters to a modern, youthful, and dynamic audience that values design, convenience, and comfort. The Tempo brand blends contemporary amenities with "local experiences".
History of the Area
The site at 14-36 W. Third St. is in a busy corner of town, just across from ArtsQuest and neighboring a six-story multi-use building to the east. The site also borders the future extension of the South Bethlehem Greenway.
